Deciding to work on a Mens Mag style photo shoot was easy, beautiful women in swanky location is fun even as a thought. It took a couple of days of serious research to find the right location (concerns included cost, spatial, and overall style) until we found the Hotel Monaco in downtown Chicago. They have an awesome room called the KN Tranquility Suite, apparently designed by Karen Neuburger, which fit the style I was looking for. Some photos of the room below.

Then it was on to the model search. Biohertz has a profile over at Model Mayhem, so we posted a casting call and started getting replies that ranged all over the place - It was actually pretty tough to decide on the models. We only had enough time to shoot 7 models max, so everyone who we selected needed to be pretty serious and have great communication skills. The list was reduced to around 10 models, keeping in mind that some models would drop out (it's just the way it goes). We then found the hair and make-up stylist Karmeka at NVME hair and make up. With the team and models in place we were ready to shoot. I also picked up a beauty dish on the cheap that I was dying to use... so obviously it's all over the photos. Hope you enjoy.

As an added bonus I'm including a video of the post production/retouching that took place on one of the images of Mila - it's about 9 - 10 minuets long, not a "how to" here, but a speed video from the photo selection process to photo retouching, then the final with title overlays. All to the tunes of the late King of Pop! Michael Jackson's - Dirty Diana, PYT, and Rock With You - so it's at least an easy listen!
